FROM LA TO NASHVILLE

Moving from TX to LA was a game changer in many ways. Clients expanded to Motown and multiple genres for her Creative Direction. As she added her first child to the family, she began working as a Photographer Agent for some of LA’s top photo talent for Fashion and Entertainment. Learning the foundations of Intellectual Property and negotiations opened a new understanding of the value of creative properties.

With an expanding family, a move to Nashville became a solution for providing a better life for her children. During those formative years, she helped launch a classically based, university model school for K-8th grade to support homeschooling families. That was not an anticipated career shift, but as she became the designated lead for the curriculum team, her research skills surfaced to help filter through all the information to provide a scope and sequence for the school. Eventually, with her three daughters, New Song Christian Academy became an anchor for her work to help guide young people towards a solid determination of their purpose and identity moving into their high school years. New Song Christian Academy is still a thriving educational community in Nashville, TN.

During those years, before leaving Nashville, she took an additional role of Wardrobe Director for the International Division of CBN, overseeing all the on-camera presentation of multiple shows in 13 markets around the world. This was her first broadcast assignment and one that reconnected her to her love of other cultures and their particular viewpoints.
